Welcome to Rock Band Your Rock Band. In case you couldn’t tell by the logo in the title, this site revolves around the video game series “Rock Band.” It’s not just a video game site, though. We’re devoted solely to the Rock Band Network, or more specifically, helping you get music into the Rock Band Network.
Here at Rock Band Your Rock Band, we’ll provide useful information, tips, and tricks that you can use while programming your own Rock Band tracks. Or if you don’t have the technical skill but you do have the songs, we can put you in touch with people who can do it for you. That makes this your one-stop destination for everything Rock Band Network related.
If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
About Me:
As much as I use the word “we,” I’m really just allowing for expansion in the future without having to change a bunch of pronouns. Right now this is all being done by one dude. My name is Scott. I’ve been a musician for roughly 12 years. I play drums in a band from Orlando, FL called megaphone (you can check us out on Myspace and Facebook). When I first heard that Harmonix was launching the Rock Band Network to help get independent bands into the game, I jumped on the opportunity. It was a no-brainer because it combined three of my favorite things: the internet, video games, and music.
I was a little intimidated when I first started programming megaphone’s songs into Rock Band, but the process proved to be fairly easy for me. The worst part was just paying for the memberships and licenses. As I went through the process, I found that the official Rock Band site didn’t really provide many tips. Their approach seemed to be to offer the tools and a basic manual and then send you on your way. I wished there was someone around to offer tips and tricks so I decided I’d start up this site. Hopefully it’ll help you become a better Rock Band programmer.
